Level 3: Balance
In the last part of the series we’ll investigate balance and it’s role in vinyasa. Balance is never static, it’s a process thats in constant motion. It’s a continuous play between steadiness and unsteadiness. In this workshop we’ll inquire into the nature of balance and how to cultivate movements that allow the body to find its equilibrium. We’ll cover more advanced transitions through the culmination from all three parts of this liquid asana series.

Level 2: Transitions
In the second part of the series we’ll get a bit deeper into vinyasa + start to focus on the transitions; how and why we’re moving from posture to posture. To create liquid asana we need to find a relaxed fluid motion that initiates from the spine, our central line of energy, and works it’s way out through the body. In this workshop you’ll gain an understanding of spinal mobility and how it aids in the fluidity of your practice. Here we’ll start to inquire not only into the spine and how we move but the intention behind our movement, the purpose of our practice.

In this workshop you’ll learn proper skeletal alignment and muscular engagement to build strength and confidence within your practice. Included will be an in-depth breakdown of the postures within Surya A, Surya B and Classical Sun Salutations.

Inversion 101: A Beginners Workshop

Learn the foundations of turning upside down. This two hour workshop will give you the confidence to safely build up to inversions and arm balances.

Balancing on our feet can be challenging and tricky at the best of times and when we turn upside down it becomes a whole other story. It can be scary and daunting but also extremely exciting!

We learn so many lessons on our yoga mat, and stepping outside of your comfort zone and into your full potential is certainly one of them!

In this workshop you'll learn the correct way to get into some basic inversions and arm balances. Building confidence while safely working up to tripod headstand, headstand, crow and handstand prep exercises with fun variations for any level.

All levels welcome. We will be partnering up for the inversions so if you're new to inversions or working on more advanced variations, you will be supported.

Tickets are $30. Yoga mats provided.
